I started Uni mid year and apparently thats not possible for my course and yet here I am.
As per my post on my time table below, I was doing 4 Units this semester level 2 in Design, Tech, Comm and History. After all the emails I went and spoke to one of the staff members and sat down and we worked out a plan.
For me to complete the course correctly I have to finish the course at the end of a calendar year so all in all I was going to be here and extra 6 months. *head desk*
First she recommended I withdraw from Design and Tech (the fun practical making ones) and pick up and elective so I would still be full time, doing 3 units but by this time I would be week 4 and I would be behind in the elective, plus you can't take the specific furniture classes away from a furniture student! Then next semester I would do level 1 of all 4 classes.
We agreed that I shouldn't start an elective so late so instead I kept everything except History so now I only have to be at uni 2 days a week, Mon and Friday though having Tues-Thurs free means I can go in whenever I like and can have time to focus.
Next semester I will be doing all 4, level 1 units then this time next year I will pick History level 2 up again along with 2 electives from the performing and visual arts school, at this stage I am hoping to do the glass class and hopefully a metals class aswell. Then the following year with be level 3 followed by level 4 to finish the associate degree. I will be most likely see how everything is going and stay for an extra year doing level 5 and 6 to turn my degree into a Bachelor of Environmental Design (Furniture)
